Crisp Cantaloupe Birthday Wishes Card

There’s just something special about creating a handmade birthday card for someone you care about. This beautiful design features Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock paired with the gorgeous Artisan Sketched Garden images for a soft, elegant look that feels perfect for celebrating someone's special day.

I love how the delicate floral images pop against the patterned background, while the layered circles and scalloped details add dimension and interest. A few butterfly embellishments finish everything off with just the right touch of sweetness.

One of my favorite things about card making is that a single design can be transformed so easily. While I chose a birthday sentiment for these cards, this layout would work beautifully with so many other greetings:

🌸 Thinking of You
🌸 Thank You
🌸 Get Well Soon
🌸 Congratulations
🌸 Sending Hugs
🌸 Just a Note
🌸 Friendships Bloom with Kindness

What about you?

Would you keep the soft Crisp Cantaloupe color palette, or would you switch things up? I can imagine this design in pretty blues, soft purples, cheerful yellows, or even bold reds for a

completely different look.

And if you were making this card, would you CASE it exactly as shown, or add your own creative twist?

I'd love to hear your ideas! Leave a comment and tell me:
What sentiment would you use, and would you change the colors or keep them just as they are?

Happy crafting! 💖

Some Scrapbook pages just hold a little extra heart -

Some scrapbook pages just hold a little extra heart — and this one definitely does for me. 💕

Meet our sweet little Lucy, our four-legged fur baby and forever friend. This year she turns 14, and while she may be getting older, she still completely holds the heart of our entire family.

From her adorable little ballerina-style two-leg begging for food, to her constant “pet me, hold me, love me” personality, Lucy has a way of making every single day a little sweeter. She may be tiny, but her love fills this house in the biggest way.

Creating pages like this reminds me why memory keeping matters so much. These little everyday moments — the cuddles on the couch, the funny habits, the comfort of having our pets nearby — become some of the memories we treasure most over time.

Little Creative Tip:
For the journaling area on this layout, I lightly used a blending brush in random spots to add soft color behind the writing. It’s such a simple technique, but it helps tie the journaling into the rest of the page accents while adding a little extra depth and softness to the layout.

I also layered florals and soft patterns around Lucy’s photo to keep the page feeling warm, cozy, and full of love — just like her.

These truly are the days. 💖

Happy crafting & memory keeping,
Christina ✂️

Create a Cute Gift Box in Just a Few Simple Steps!

Today I’m sharing another fun and easy paper crafting project — this adorable handmade box created with just a few simple cuts, scores, and folds. These little boxes are perfect for gifting treats, small surprises, jewelry, gift cards, happy mail, or even adding to your next party table setup.

And the best part? You can customize them with any Designer Series Paper and embellishments to fit any occasion or season.

Be sure to watch the YouTube tutorial below where I’ll walk you through the entire project step-by-step, including how to create the beautiful large flower using the Scalloped Blooms Dies.

 Box Measurements

Top (Designer Series Paper):
6-5/8" x 8-1/8"
Score at 1" on all four sides.

Bottom (Coordinating Cardstock):
10" x 8-1/2"
Score at 2" on all four sides.

✂️ Be sure to check the video tutorial to see exactly how to trim and assemble the box for the perfect fit.

This project comes together so quickly and would make such a sweet handmade touch for birthdays, thank-you gifts, holidays, or “just because” moments.

💬 In the comments, tell me — what would YOU put inside this adorable little box?

Happy Crafting,

More Beautiful Pages & Memories Captured

Another set of scrapbook pages finished and ready for the memory books… and these ones hold such a special place in my heart.

This layout captures a few sweet moments from our last family cookout on the O’Kelly back porch before our move out of Texas. Definitely one of those bittersweet days — it turned out to be a chilly cold day but filled with laughter, stories, hugs, and soaking in every moment together before such a big life change.

For these pages, I added a fun little interactive touch by tucking extra photos underneath the banner pieces. I absolutely love creating hidden spaces for more memories while still keeping the layout soft, clean, and balanced. It’s the perfect way to include even more moments in time without overcrowding the page.

And can we talk about journaling for a second? ✍️
Always, always remember to journal your pages.

 Whether it’s:

  • a special event,
  • something hilarious someone said,
  • a feeling you never want to forget,
  • or simply what life looked like in that season…

those little written memories become priceless later on.

One day your children, grandchildren, and loved ones will look back through these albums and treasure not only the photos — but the stories behind them too. That’s truly the magic of scrapbooking. 💕

These pages are another reminder that the everyday moments, the goodbye gatherings, and the simple time spent together are the memories most worth preserving.

Happy Crafting!

Another Memory Worth Keeping

I recently finished up these scrapbook pages from our day at the Renaissance Fair, and oh my goodness… this one was such a fun memory to relive while creating.

Amanda and Ryan spent the day exploring the fair together, taking in all the sights, vendors, costumes, and little performances around every corner. It turned into one of those days filled with laughter, unexpected moments, and memories you just know deserve to be documented.

One of my favorite things about these layouts is the interactive photo flaps added to each side of the page. They create the perfect little surprise element while still keeping the overall design clean, balanced, and easy to enjoy. I love when scrapbook pages have a little movement and storytelling tucked inside them.

And honestly… these are exactly the kinds of memories that deserve more than just sitting on a phone. They deserve a page, a story, and a place in an album where they can be revisited for years to come.

The beautiful florals paired with the soft purples and layered embellishments helped bring this whole layout together so perfectly. It feels whimsical, fun, and full of personality — just like the day itself.

Scrapbooking truly is one of my favorite ways to hold onto life’s little moments. Not just the big milestones, but the everyday adventures and laughter in between. Those are often.                                                  the memories that mean the most.

Happy crafting,

Good Times together...scrapbook layout.

Sharing day two project completion with photos from that special moment when our HOG group gave us a farewell party.

These beautiful people are mor than friends... they're family.

i love how thiw layout came together with the hidden stow-away journaling because thsoe memories and little details always matter.

Plus the extra photo flaps are perfect for when just a couple of photos simply aren't enough to tell the story. So thankful for the laughs, memories, and friendships that will always stay close to our hearts.
