Tips & Tricks: Iridescent Treat Bags + Heat Tool Magic

Looking to add instant texture and shine to your cards?
This fun technique is a must try!

How to create the textured background:
1. Take one Iridescent Treat Bag and lay it on a heat-safe surface.
2. Using your Heat Tool, slowly move across the bag
as it begins to melt just a smidge.
3. Gently heat around the sides and corners for that crinkled,
iridescent texture.
4. Once cooled, cut into strips of your desired size -
 I used 1-1/2" strips.
5. Attach to your cardstock using Glue Dots for
 quick and easy placement.

Such. a simple technique with BIG impact!
I showcased this background with the Sweet Bugs Bundle
Strawberry Slush ink & cardstock for a bright, cheerful pop. So much fun experimenting with heat and shine!

How to Read & Use Measurements ✂️📏

If measurements ever make you pause mid-project, you’re not alone — and I’ve got you covered! Understanding how to read your ruler makes crafting so much easier and more enjoyable.

This handy chart breaks down everything between 0 and 1 inch, showing you exactly what each line represents. Those little lines aren’t just decoration — they each have a purpose!

Here’s how it works:

  • The longest lines mark full inches (0, 1, 2, etc.).

  • The next longest lines show ½ inch.

  • Slightly shorter lines mark ¼ and ¾.

  • Even smaller lines represent ⅛ increments.

  • The tiniest lines are 1⁄16, perfect for precise cuts and layers.

When you’re measuring cardstock, designer paper, or scoring lines, these small differences matter — especially when you want clean layers and perfectly aligned cards.

I keep this chart nearby when I’m creating, and I hope it helps you too when you’re crafting and thinking, “Which line is that again?” 😉

Save it, pin it, or print it for your craft space — and happy measuring! 💖✂️

A February Filled With Love

💌 A February Filled With LOVE 💌
Send or give a Love Note a day

I want to try something special this month — and I truly hope you’ll feel inspired to join me.

Yes, February is Valentine’s Day month… but I want to take it beyond just one day. This isn’t about candy or store-bought hearts — it’s about LOVE.

❤️ Love for a parent
❤️ A sibling
❤️ A friend
❤️ A neighbor
❤️ A coworker
❤️ Your mail or trash pickup person
❤️ Your hairdresser
❤️ The hostess at your favorite restaurant
❤️ A delivery driver
❤️ Or even a complete stranger

The list could go on and on.

Here’s the challenge:
All month long, I’ll be sharing one Love Note a day — and I’m not just creating them to admire. I’m actually mailing and giving these handmade cards away to brighten someone else’s day… just because.

No reason needed.
No holiday required.
Just love.

Handmade cards have a way of making people feel seen, appreciated, and truly cared for — and I believe something this simple can make a big difference.

So I’m asking you…
💌 Will you take this challenge with me?
Let’s create, share, and spread love every single day this month.

👇 Drop a 💖 in the comments if you’re in — Day One starts tomorrow!

Who’s with me? 💖💕

A Craft Room That Inspires ✂️✨

As I began my crafting journey, one thing I slowly realized was just how important organization is in my craft room. I wanted everything to have a place — not only so it would be easier to find, but also so my space felt calm, inspiring, and pleasing to the eye.

One of the very first things I searched for was an ink holder. I wanted my inks organized and easy to grab while I was creating. But for the longest time, I also dreamed of a way to store my cardstock where I could see all those beautiful colors instead of hiding them away. If you’ve watched my videos, you may have caught a few glimpses of my setup along the way. 😉

That’s when I discovered Stamp-n-Storage — and honestly, it was a game changer. Their products are designed specifically for Stampin’ Up! supplies, along with many other crafting tools, which gave me so much confidence knowing everything would fit perfectly. From ink pads to cardstock, dies, and more, I knew anything I purchased (or still have on my wish list!) would work seamlessly with my hobby.

Over time, my craft stash has slowly but surely grown — and so has my organization system. Now, every time I walk into my craft room to work, I feel a real sense of pride. Everything has a home, my space feels intentional, and my craft office truly inspires me to create and share projects with you every single day.

If you’ve been thinking about organizing your craft space, I can’t recommend starting small enough — one piece at a time really does make a difference. A well-organized space doesn’t just store supplies… it fuels creativity.

Gears & Textures: Same Design, Two Bold Color Stories ⚙️

The Gears & Textures Bundle is such a versatile, multi-purpose set — perfect for birthdays, celebrations, masculine cards, and so much more. I love how easily this bundle can shift styles just by changing up the colors.

These two cards were inspired by Artisan artist Tammy Wilson, and I had so much fun casing her design and putting my own spin on it with bold, playful color combinations.

💙 Blue: Blueberry Bushel paired with Lemon Lime Twist
💖 Pink: Melon Mambo paired with Lemon Lime Twist

Even though the layout and textures stay the same, the colors completely change the feel of each card. One leans cool and vibrant, while the other feels energetic and fun — all while keeping that industrial texture the Gears & Textures Bundle is known for.

That’s one of my favorite things about stamping: a single bundle can give you endless possibilities just by mixing and matching cardstock and ink colors.

👇 Now it’s your turn — which combo is your favorite?

Blue or Pink?
I’d love to hear what speaks to you today!

Tips & Tricks for Coloring Stamp Images

Valentine Kisses Bundle + Stampin' Blends
These    ADORABLE coloring stamps are perfect for Valentine cards. I was going to say Valentines for kids...but let's be real- anyone would smile opening one of these sweet cards.

Tips for Coloring the Bears with Stampin Blends
1.Always stamp your images with Memento Black Ink when coloring with Stampin' Blends. Let the ink set for a minute before you start coloring to avoid smearing.
2. Use Basic White Cardstock-it's smooth as silk and gives you the best blending results.
3. My favorite coloring order: Light->Dark->Light. This helps create soft shading and smooth transitions.
4. Act fast! Don't wait too long between layers. Stampin' Blends blend best while the ink is still workable.
5.No Basic Black Stampin Blend? No problem! Use the Dark Smoky Slate (bullet tip) to color then add shading with the same marker.
6. Add sparkle by coloring the white areas with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for a little extra Pizzazz.
7. Oops moments hannepn! If color escapesStampin' Blends Color LIfter the lines just grab your Color Lifter to clean it right up.
