Simple Slant Fun Fold Card Featuring the Silly Old Bear Suite

Looking for a fun fold that's easy to create but looks extra special? This Simple Slant Fun Fold Card is a beautiful way to showcase your favorite Designer Series Paper while adding a unique interactive element to your card design.

For this project, I used Barely Blush cardstock paired with the adorable Silly Old Bear Suite. The soft colors and sweet imagery make this card perfect for sending a little happiness to someone special.

One of my favorite things about this design is how the layered slant panels create movement and visual interest without requiring complicated measurements. It's a great project for beginners and experienced crafters alike!

The sweet sentiment reminds us:

"Sometimes, when you go looking for happiness, happiness finds you."

A perfect reminder to tuck inside a card and send to a friend who could use a smile.

Measurements

Card Base

Barely Blush Cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Score at 4-1/4"

Inside Mat Layer

Very Vanilla Cardstock: 8" x 4-3/4"
Score at: 2", 4", 6"

Creating the Slant

Using a ruler, measure and mark 2" up from the bottom right corner with a pencil.
Cut a diagonal line from that mark to the top left corner to create the slanted edge.

Designer Series Paper

Cut 4 pieces at 1-3/4" x 4-3/4"

Before adhering:

Place each DSP piece onto the slanted panel, positioning it approximately 1/4" above the bottom edge.
Trim off the excess at the top using scissors to match the slant.
Adhere the DSP panel.
Repeat for all four sections.

A Few Finishing Touches

To complete the card, I added:

A layered focal image from the Silly Old Bear Suite
Soft embellishments for a touch of sparkle
Linen thread tied into a simple bow
A heartfelt sentiment

These little details help bring the entire design together while still keeping the card clean and elegant.

Looking for a fun fold that looks impressive but comes together quickly? This Pop-Up Fun Fold Card is the perfect project! With just a few score lines and a few pieces of Designer Series Paper, you'll have a card that's interactive, beautiful, and sure to make someone smile.

For today's project, I used the adorable Meant for You Ephemera Pack, which makes decorating fast and easy. Simply layer your favorite pieces, add a sentiment, and you're ready to create!

Card Measurements

Card Base:

10" x 5-1/2"
Score at: 4-1/4", 5-1/4", 7-1/4", and 8-1/4"

Left Side DSP:

5-1/4" x 1-3/4"

Right Side DSP:

5-3/8" x 2-1/8"
5-1/8" x 1-7/8"

Assembly Tips

Fold along all score lines and burnish well for crisp folds.
Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the designated panels.
Decorate the front using pieces from the Meant for You Ephemera Pack.
Add twine, embellishments, and a sentiment for the perfect finishing touch.
Write your personal message inside and send it off to brighten someone's day!

There’s just something special about creating a handmade birthday card for someone you care about. This beautiful design features Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock paired with the gorgeous Artisan Sketched Garden images for a soft, elegant look that feels perfect for celebrating someone's special day.

I love how the delicate floral images pop against the patterned background, while the layered circles and scalloped details add dimension and interest. A few butterfly embellishments finish everything off with just the right touch of sweetness.

One of My Favorite Creations Yet! ✨

This project has quickly become one of my favorite creations yet! Not only is it adorable, but it's also surprisingly simple to make. These sweet little banners are perfect for party décor, gift-giving, scrapbook embellishments, classroom treats, baby showers, birthdays, and so much more.
