Sketch Challenge: Sometimes the simplest layout lets the paper do all the talking.

Sketch Challenge: Sometimes the simplest layout lets the paper do all the talking.
Today’s Sketch of the Day is all about the gorgeous Kintsugi Inspirations DSP. I’m swooning over the elegance of this paper—so it needed a layout that let it shine.
+ First layer: 5" x 3-1/2"
+ Second layer: 4-1/2" x 3"
Topped it off with a banner for the greeting and a sweet little bow. It’s simple. It’s chic. It’s giving “effortless beauty” and I’m not mad about it.

USA Banner -

Nothing says stars and stripes like a handmade banner that screams USA!

This little beauty came together with the Party Alphabet Dies and Banner Dies—and I’m swooning over the texture! I used Blueberry Bushel, Real Red, and Basic Beige cardstock to give it that perfect patriotic pop. Add a swirl embossing folder and some sassy trims? YES PLEASE. And of course, a little nod to 1776 in that antique heart detail because... history matters.
This banner if perfect for Flag Day, the Fourth,
or your next summer BBQ?

Supplies: Banner Dies, Party Alphabet Dies, Blueberry Bushel CS, Real Red CS, Basic Beige CS, Beige Ribbon, Retired heart and star punches, Early Espresso stampin write marker.

Scraps + Dies = handmade card for DAD

Scraps + dies = a handmade card Dad will actually keep.

Using just a few cardstock scraps and the Party Alphabet Dies, I created this simple yet bold card for Dad—and
I love how it turned out!
I used Basic Beige, Gray Granite, Real Red, and Misty Moonlight cardstock to give it just the right pop without overcomplicating the design. It’s clean, modern, and filled with heart—because sometimes the simplest cards say the most.

Tuesday Tips & Tricks - Here's how to fake that cute threaded button look using just cardstock scraps!

Threading buttons without actual thread?
Yep, it’s a thing—and it’s genius.
Tuesday Tips & Tricks: Here’s how to fake that cute threaded button look using just cardstock scraps!
1. Grab a scrap of cardstock in your desired color.
2. Trim a thin sliver and weave it through the
holes of your button.
3. Snip off any excess on the back.
4. Stick a glue dot behind the button to hold the “thread”
in place and attach it to your card front.
Boom—cute, clean, and no actual thread required.
The perfect finishing touch with zero fuss!

Tips & Tricks : Bleach Stamping

Tuesday's Tips & Tricks is ..... Yes, we’re getting crafty with actual bleach.
Today’s Tips & Tricks is all about bleach and stamping- a super cool technique that I found in Sharon Armstrongs 55 Card Making Techniques book. So had to give it a try. It lifts color from your cardstock and creates a soft, almost watercolor - like effect.

1. Grab dark colored cardstock (the effect is most dramatic here) and stamp of choice. Im using Inspiring Imperfections stamp # 165161
2. Use a paper plate and paper towel (fold about eight times place onto plate).
3. Poor bleach onto paper towel (make sure its well saturated )
4. Carefully ink up stamp with bleach ink pad.
5. Stamp on colored cardstock. Hold stamp in place for at least 10 seconds .
6. Clean the stamp well with soap and water.
Have you tried bleach stamping ?

Sketch Challenge Monday

It’s Monday… so let’s get sketchy!

Today’s Monday Sketch Challenge features a soft, monochromatic look using this stunning floral and stripe combo. I kept it simple with shades of secret sea, cloud cover, and white, letting the DSP do the heavy lifting. A clean layout, a crisp “Thank You” sentiment, and a few flat pearl dots to finish it off—sometimes less really is more!
Sketch challenges are my favorite way to beat the
Monday blahs and get those creative juices flowing.
Feeling inspired? Make sure to share with me. I want to see your twist.

Bright Colors - Impressions Abloom

Ending the week on a bright note!
Here’s my final card showcasing the Impressions Abloom bundle—and I might’ve saved the boldest for last! I used Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush for the flowers, accented with Granny Apple Green card stock layered against the Coastal Cabana card stock to create a vibrant, happy color combo that just feels like appreciation in card form.
Perfect for letting someone know, “I appreciate you.” Because a little color and kindness goes a long way!

Bold blooms + bright colors = instant smile
How fun is this card using the Impressions Abloom stamp and die set? I went bold with layered florals in bright Strawberry Slush CS, Coastal Cabana CS, and Daffodil Delight CS against a crisp black band—it really makes the flowers pop! The stitched square sentiment adds a clean, classic finish that ties it all together for the perfect “Thinking of You” card.
