Tips&Tricks: Create a lollipop in just a few easy steps for scrapbook embellishments

Create an adorable lollipop for your next scrapbook page layout using striped twine!

🍭 Perfect for adding a sweet handmade touch to your memories.

1. Start with a circle cut out (I used the 1-7/8” punch) striped bakers twine, multi purpose glue.
2. Take your circle cut out squiggle a light amount of glue on one side.
3. Start your twine from the center of circle and rotate in a circular pattern until you cover the circle.
4. Use a toothpick or small sucker stick to attach to back with a glue dot.
5. Wrap with a piece of cellophane and tie off with a bow using twine or small ribbon.
6. Now your lollipop is finished and ready to adhere to a scrap book page.

Tips & Tricks: Use a die as a stencil.

This sweet “boo” card shows two fun ways to use dies!
Up front, the word “boo” is cut out and filled in with a pretty ink blend that makes the letters stand out.
In the background, I used the same dies as stencils to make a soft, colorful pattern.
Double the die power—triple the crafty love!

1. Pick out the dies you want to use, your die cutting machine with plates, and enough cardstock to fit the dies with a little space around them.
2. Run the dies through the machine. Remove the shapes, and save any small pieces you might need (like the center of letters).
3. Put your die-cut cardstock on your project where you want the design. Use a tiny bit of removable glue if it needs to stay in place, especially with small or detailed pieces.
4. Use blending brushes or sponge daubers to gently tap ink through the open parts of the stencil. Don’t rub too hard—it might move the stencil.
5. Carefully lift the stencil straight up to avoid smudging your ink.
6. Cardstock stencils can be reused if you want to make more of the same design. Or toss it when you’re done. (But look at that cool “BOO”—you might want to keep it!)
