Tuesday Tips/Tricks: Paper Crafting Scoring Tip
This tip uses a bone folder, in place of your scoring blade, and is especially helpful for vellum, thick card stock, window sheets, specialty papers and foils.
The scoring blade on your paper trimmer will dull over time, which honestly is a good thing for these thicker or speciality papers, but we all know a dull blade creates a knew set of problems. In addition to the scoring blade tip is rather shallow and for good reason. If the tip was taller/deeper, it would create a cut versus a score line. ((Have you ever had this happen? I have.))
The next time you need to score any of the items listed above. Remove the score blade from trimmer. And try using the bone folder instead. Same result, without
damaging your pretty paper.
