Tips & Tricks: Spotlight Masking on Embossing.

Trying new techniques can be fun, especially when you start adding colors together. 

I love blending brushes and the feel it gives a card. It adds such new depth to my creations.

Tuesday Tips & Tricks: Spotlight Masking on Embossing.

Start with an embossed panel – here I used the Gathering Together Embossing Folder.

Pick your inks – I chose Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, and Crumb Cake.

Mask off a section of your embossed cardstock with Stampin’ Up! masking paper.

Using blending brushes, softly blend colors from bottom to top in your chosen combo.

Peel away the masking, add your sentiment and embellishments, then assemble your card.

I love how this spotlight effect makes the embossed design really pop!

This week I paired the Amber Autumn Stamp Set with a soft fall palette of Petal Pink, Sea Foam, and Pecan Pie. I love how the mix of warm and gentle tones brings out the cozy harvest vibes of this season.

A few layered ribbons, a touch of texture, and this sweet sentiment pull it all together. Tags are such a fun way to share creativity in a small space with a big impact!
